JEAN DRUMMOND, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac.

My Journey to Healer

Years ago, my long-time interest in health conflicted with the stress-related illnesses I endured while climbing the corporate ladder — a conflict that ultimately led me to Chinese medicine.

I was always stressed out and sick— IBS, PMS and other disease acronyms dominated my life. Finding solace from stress and illness in acupuncture, my health was changed so dramatically that I realized my true calling was to help others deal with stress like it had helped me.  So I quit the corporate life and obtained a Masters in Oriental Medicine and my passion for helping others with their health was revealed.

Over the last 25 yeas, my mission has been to educate and empower women to achieve optimal health through simple, natural solutions.  I love helping people and my top values are authenticity, integrity and honesty.  I value contribution and connection with people— I love making a difference.  And of course, I absolutely love nature and the outdoors—as nature is the ultimate healer!

The Real Me

As a proud 6th generation Californian, I have a soulful connection to the mountains, forests and trees.  When I’m not helping people, I spend my free time doing photography, hiking, camping and seeking new adventures in the outdoors. I have been called “The Pine Cone Whisperer.” Yes, I love hugging trees, especially Giant Sequoias and all varieties of pine.

In addition, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and was a photojournalist in my previous career.  My passion is still photography– I believe in the healing powers of nature, even viewing images of nature has immense benefits.   I teach iPhone photography workshops that focus on being outdoors in nature, being mindful and slowing down. It is a form of meditation that is very healing, along with being fun and creative.   You can see my photography here: www.connectionswithnature.com
